Clifton “Rev” Benton, 81, husband of Virginia May Long Benton for 44 years, died Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at his home in Paris, KY.
A native of West Liberty, KY, he was the son of the late Willis Benton and Maxine Hackney Benton. He worked at horse farms most of his life including Stone Farm in Bourbon County.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Sheila Blanton; three stepchildren, Billy Keith Nolen, Tammy Nolen and Audrey (Ronnie) Jones; three brothers, James Benton, Charles Benton, Tommy Benton and one sister, Hilda (Russell) Hill; 22 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Clifton Darrell Benton; three brothers, Clell Benton, Joe Benton and Dewey Benton; one sister, Alma Dean Bates.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by Bro. Gary Stith.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may take the form of contributions to Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home to help the family with the funeral expenses.
