Obituary for Nellie Burl Jones

Nellie Burl Smith Jones born in Powell County, Kentucky on March 24th 1924 passed from this life December 13, 2017 in Scottsdale, Arizona at the age of 93. Nellie grew up in Paris Kentucky, married Joe Oliver Jones, birthed ten children, and reared each one of them at the St. Paul United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Usher Board and Choir. Nellie was known for her devotion to GOD, quiet disposition, wisdom, ultimate patience, love for her children, and timely service to the needy. Her sewing machine survived usage by more operators than could be counted. She spent most of her life in Paris, Kentucky and the last ten years in Phoenix, Arizona where she attended Valley Church of Christ with her daughter. She was loved and will be missed by many in Arizona and Kentucky.
