Burton Clay Tipton, 68, husband of Bonnie Roe Tipton, died Wednesday June 5, 2013 at the St. Joseph Hospice Care Center, Lexington.
A native of Irvine, KY, he was the son of the late George and Gracie Neal Tipton. He was a retired rock mason and a loving husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter, Angie Patrick of Paris; four grandchildren, Josh Patrick, Sarah Patrick, Heaven Patrick and Nevaeh Creech; two great grandchildren, Caiden Patirck and McKenzy Allen; two brothers, Earl Tipton of Irvine and William Tipton of Paris; four sisters, Molly Jones of Paris, Ann Edwards of Paris, Faye Terrell of Springfield, OH and Evelyn Thompson of Ohio and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including Johnny Shanks, Whitney Minor, Ashley Hedges and Pete Rhodus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and sisters, Harvey Tipton, Hurley Tipton, Lemon Tipton, Jessie Johnson, Jean Sargent, Aileen Creech and Brenda Sue Tipton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday June 10, 2013 at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St. by Pastor Krista Hampton. Burial will be in the Paris Cemetery
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Sunday June 9, 2013 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be John William Roe, Austin Wright, Brian Crabtree, Denny C. Edwards Jr., Marshall Hunt, Billy Davidson, Tommy Sargent and "J.R." John Roe III.
Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Bates, Tommy McFarland, Elcaney Clark, David Catron, Ray Tipton, Harold "Red" Neal, Larry Neal, Gene Crow, Eddie Sparks, Frog Crow, Billy Jones, Chase Webb, Tanner Roe, John Roe Jr. and William J. Tipton.
